So, this is the first post, it has a lot to live up to. I am not going to use real names, but nicknames, hopefully they will not be too easy to figure out.

Last week, cocky guy lost his wallet. As a nice gesture, I offered to cook dinner for him, since he didn't have an ID or credit card, his date night options were limited. Let me back up, I have been dating cocky guy for about two months, not too serious, but still, two months. So, an offer from me to cook him dinner was not out of the blue. Anyways, we were chatting over the phone, not via text (gasp!) and I suggested Saturday or Sunday. Guess what his response was?!

"Mmmm I like food"
"Let me check my schedule and get back to you in the morning" [RED FLAG]

Oh really, check your BUSY schedule and get back to me. COME ON.  So, of course, he didn't get back to me the next morning, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that he was trying to play me, still working some type of game (after two months). Well, I am not playing and your not that cool. I decided to rescind my offer in the nicest way possible, by explaining that I wasn't feeling well (which I wasn't) and that I was going to rest for the weekend. Guess what his response was?!

"Yeah, sorry I didn't get back to you. I was out sick yesterday and working non stop on this damn report. Hope you feel better."

Cocky guy knows that he was wrong, I suppose there is some credit due, that's about it. I didn't respond and don't plan to.

Ladies, key takeaway, no guy ever needs to check his schedule if someone offers to cook for him, be it, girlfriend, friend, wife, mom, etc. NEXT!
